UNDERSTANDING "SUMMER" IN ENGLISH
Translation
The heat is flooding and thirst is invading the heart dear.
Repose is gone with sleepless nights, long days which are drear
On a dry twig the Pied cuckoo cries
Raising hapless chimes
Fear not, ahoy fear not, I gaze at the skies.
I know you shall come in stormy disguise
And quench the thirst of our blazing souls dear.
