কত রাত তাই তো জেগেছি বলব কী তোরে ।।
প্রভাতে পথিক ডেকে যায়, অবসর পাই নে আমি হায়-
বাহিরের খেলায় ডাকে সে, যাব কী ক'রে ।।
যা আমার সবার হেলাফেলা যাচ্ছে ছড়াছড়ি
পুরোনো ভাঙা দিনের ঢেলা, তাই দিয়ে ঘর গড়ি ।
যে আমার নতুন খেলার জন তারি এই খেলার সিংহাসন,
ভাঙারে জোড়া দেবে সে কিসের মন্তরে ।।
Translation
Was building a playroom in my insights
So I spent how many sleepless nights
At dawn the traveler beckons but I could find no time, alas
He seduces me for a playful worldly game, how I might?
Whatever I possessed hither and thither is now scattered
With my broken boat of good old days I build my site.
This is throne of my new playmate
The broken he shall join with which sleights.
